The Governor of Banadir Region, who is also the Mayor of Mogadishu, Mr. Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madaale) who held a press conference at the command of the Somali Police sent a strong message to the soldiers who are in the habit of killing the Somali people.
The mayor of Mogadishu said that it is not acceptable that the soldiers who were expected to protect the security of the people killed them, and he said that the soldiers who committed the murders, including police and security, were arrested and will be brought to court.
“It was unexpected that a soldier who was supposed to protect people’s security is killing and injuring them. Those who were involved in the killing of civilians have been arrested and will be brought to court,” said Governor Madale.
Also, the Mayor of Mogadishu said that the trial will be attended by the media and us to find out where their situation will end.
“Those who have lost their conscience and kill the people will also be killed,” he said angrily to the Mayor of Mogadishu.
Finally, the Mayor of Muqdiaho said that the military court recently executed two soldiers who brutally and illegally killed two civilians. Anyone who kills civilians will be killed in the same way.
