The director of the Department of Foreign Relations and International Organizations of the Banadir Regional Administration, Mr. Mohamed Hassan, reported on his visit to Helsinki in Finland.
The director said that they are in Helsinki for a training session where he explains in every aspect how he works and the challenges he has overcome.
“We came to Helsinki to exchange knowledge related to reconciliation, good governance and other social services, such as health, education and waste management,” said director Mohamed Hassan.
Also, the Director added that they explained how they overcame the tribal wars they went through and the things they used.
“Helsinki and all over Finland, there was a civil war, they told us that they used it to overcome it, they changed the education and the laws of the whole country, so that the law is no longer above the law,” said the Director of Public Affairs. Outside the administration of Banadir Region.
Finally, director Mohamed Hassan said: “On our part, we have explained how the Local Governments of Somalia and the Local Government of Hamar work, how the Somali people have overcome the problems they have faced and where they are today”.
