The acting governor of Banadir Region and the Mayor of Mogadishu, who is the deputy chairman of Security and Politics of Banadir Region, Mohamed Ahmed Diriye (Yaboh) announced that the administration of Banadir Region has donated 250,000 dollars to the Turkish brothers.
Governor Yaboh said that the donation is the first phase of contributing to the aid collected by the committee recently appointed by the Prime Minister of Somalia, Hamse Abdi Barre.
“The Emergency Committee of the earthquake that hit the country of Turkey contacted me, as I am a full representative of the administration of Banadir Region, when we consulted with the governor of Banadir Region who is on a trip, we decided to provide the first aid,” said Governor Yaboh, who spoke last night, and the members of the support committee of the Turkish brothers stood on his shoulders.
Governor Yaboh added: “People living in the districts of Benadir State are required to participate in the second phase of aid,” said Governor Yabooh again.
Finally, Governor Mohamed Ahmed Yaboh said that the assistance to the Turkish brothers will continue.
