Governor Yusuf Madale sent patients abroad for treatment

The Governor of Banadir Region and the Mayor of Mogadishu, Mr. Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madale) today sent 6 patients abroad whose health conditions could not be treated in the country, and this is part of such charity that he has already given to patients.

The patients, who were all women, included three women who were members of the staff of Banadir region, while the other three were civilians, and they had various illnesses that could not be treated in the country. There was a farewell ceremony attended by MPs and directors of Hamar Local Government.

“When we were told about the illnesses of these people, we decided to send them outside the country for treatment, and I pray to God to make their journey easy and bring them back healthy,” said Governor Madale, speaking at a ceremony in held the headquarters of the Local Government House.

Also, some patients who spoke at the scene said that they are grateful to governor Yusuf Hussein Madale for sponsoring their health and travel expenses while they are out of health. Some of them who were crying described the Mayor of Mogadishu as one who stands by his people for help.

The Women’s Commissioner of Banadir Region, Ms. Jawahir Barqab, said at the event that Governor Madale has already sent patients abroad for treatment, and those who have recovered have returned, while others are still on their medical trip.

The governor of Banadir region and the mayor of Mogadishu, Mr. Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madaale) has already promised to help patients whose health conditions cannot be treated in the country, and he noted that it is part of his mandated work for the people living in the capital of the country, Mogadishu.
