MOGADISHU MAYOR: Many families were affected by the rains in Mogadishu

The Governor of Banadir Region and the Mayor of Mogadishu, Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madaale) together with his deputy for Security and Politics, Mohammed Ahmed Diriye (Yabooh) and other members went last night to the people who were affected by yesterday’s rains in Mogadishu.

The mayor of Mogadishu and his accompanying members, including the country’s deputy prime minister and the commander of the Somali police force, have provided various assistance to the affected families, mostly children, women and the elderly.“The rain was raining for a short time, but it caused a lot of damage. We have rescued 70 families, mostly elderly, children and mothers whose homes were severely affected by the rains in Warta Nabadda district,” said Governor Madale.

Also, the Mayor of Mogadishu said that the rains caused the death of four people and a lot of property damage.

On the other hand, Warta Nabadda district governor Mrs. Saynab Habsay, informed the authorities of Banadir region and the central government about the damage caused by the rain to the people living in that district, which was the place where the rain caused severe damage.

The people who were affected by the rains in Mogadishu on Friday have been delivered to various emergency services from the local government and the central government.
