The Gov’t of Somalia launched exams for 3000 teachers

The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Hamza Abdi Barre, today launched the recruitment exam for three thousand (3000) teachers which is being taken by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

The exam will be attended by 8000 teachers who will take the exam in 22 places in 11 cities of the country.The opening of the exam was attended by officials from the Banadir region, who praised the way the exam was planned, and wished success to the participating teachers.

“It is a good thing that 1000 teachers will be recruited from Banadir Region, among which 3000 teachers will be recruited from all over the country,” said the Vice Chairman of Social Affairs and Publicity of Banadir Region, Mr. spoke.There are 3800 teachers who started the exam this morning at the university center in Hamar-Weyne district of Mogadishu.

On the other hand, Hamdi Mohamed Hussein, a mother who was born eight days ago, is one of the teachers participating in the exam. Also her husband Mohamed Abdi Ali is one of the scholars who sat for the ministry exam.Finally, the Ministry of Education of Somalia has already announced that it will hire 3000 teachers, who will teach in government schools in Mogadishu and the regional administrations of the country.
