JAWAHIR BARQAB: The women united to make the capital peaceful

The Chairman of Women of Banadir Region Jawahir Mohamud Barqab said that the administration of Banadir Region and the Ministry of Women will soon provide assistance to the camps where the displaced people live, during the commemoration of the great women of the world on March 8.

Mrs. Jawahur Barqab called on the Somali community to expel Al-Shabaab from their homes, so that the people of the capital can enjoy peace.

“Our plan for the week is to deliver the aid we collected from women, displaced women and disabled women,” said Ms. Jawahir Barqab.

Also, Governor Jawahir said that the new plans they have come up with will change the commemoration of International Women’s Day.

“Somali women united and led by Minister Khadijo Mohamed Diriye have made a plan to take what we have and help Somali women who are in need,” said Mrs. Jawahir Barqab who spoke to the media.On the other hand, Somalia’s Minister of Women, Khadijo Mohamed Diriye, who also made a statement at the scene, said that one of their plans is how to get the houses out of Garan-waaga (Al-Shabaab).

“Our decision is in accordance with the order of the Prime Minister of Somalia which was; Somali women must make Mogadishu peaceful” said Minister Khadijo Diriye.

Lastly, Mrs. Jawahir said that Somali women are united and their plan is to get the women out of their homes and help Somali women who have nothing.
