Prime Minister Hamse has appointed new ministers to be part of his cabinet

The prime minister of the federal government of Somalia, Hon. Hamse Abdi Barre, has appointed members of the cabinet of ministers of the federal government of Somalia.

The number of ministers appointed today by PM Hamse is six, and they are:

1. Mr. Ahmed Macallin Fiqi, who was the former minister of interior, federal and reconciliation affairs, was appointed as the minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation.

2. Mr. Ali Yusuf Ali (Hoosh), minister of interior, federal and reconciliation affairs.

3. Sen. Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Far-tag), minister of internal security.

4. Mr. Abdullahi Bidhan Warsame, minister of energy and water.

5. Mr. Mohamed Adan Macallin, minister of posts, communications and technology.

6. Mr. Omar Ahmed Mohamed, minister of state for the ministry of environment and climate change.

This new council of ministers is based on the 4.5 system of power sharing in the federal government of Somalia. Two ministers have completely lost their positions in the government, while some other ministers are new to the council.
