The new commander of the Somali Police Force, Gen. Sulub Ahmed Firin took over the command of the Somali Police Force today, taking over from former police chief Jen. Abdi Hassan Mohamed (Hijaar), promising that he will work to deal with the needs within the police organization, to have more power in the Somali police.

In a large event held at the General Kahiye High School of Police, the Deputy Prime Minister thanked the former Commander for the work he did for the country during his leadership of the Police and achieved significant results.

The Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that at this important moment in the war against the Khawarij groups, the Somali police forces are playing a major role in the ongoing operations. and at the same time they are in control of the stabilization of all the liberated areas.

The ceremony where the new Commander of the Somali Army and the former Commander took over the office was attended by Ministers of the Government, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the Governor of Banadir Region, Members of Parliament, Officers and other dignitaries.

A week ago, the new police chief was appointed, and the chief he is replacing has been in office since 2019.
