The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, attended a meeting of the Somali community living in Europe in Rome, Italy to support the struggle for the liberation of the country and the elimination of the Khawarij al-Shabaab.
President Hassan said that the operation to liberate the country and elimination of the Khawarjita is going well, and the government will continue the fight until those people who lie about religion are removed from the whole country.
“The government is responsible for the country and the religion, terrorists were hiding behind religion, but now it is understood, and the revolution against them is going on everywhere,” said President Hassan Sheikh.
Also, the President said that the quote brought by the Governor of Banadir, which is the Mayor of Mogadishu which was “One dollar to build your country, now it has been changed one dollar to defend your country” and asked the people who attended the meeting that if one dollar each which will be a lot of money that will benefit the country and the Somali people.
On the other hand, President Hassan Sheikh noted that there is no famine in Somalia at this time, but there are dangers that could cause the current drought situation to turn into a famine.
“When I took office, I appointed a special envoy for aid who did a really good job, and there is no such thing as famine in our country,” said President Hassan Sheikh.
Finally, the President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and his delegation have been in Italy for about a week.
